AC Servo Amplifiers 60 Hz & 400 HZ
Solid-state
servo electronics designed and built by PCD offer the design
engineer a complete line of analog electronics. They are available
either off-the-shelf or custom designed to meet your exact
requirements.
These electronic components, a result of years
of intensive development, have been designed to meet the
requirements of today's high-performance systems in aircraft,
missile, and space environments, as well as industry.
PCD
servo electronics may be found in missile systems, avionic systems,
air traffic control systems, air defense systems, helicopter
avionics, torpedo systems, and many others, including commercial,
industrial, and aircraft applications.
Full Line of Servo
Amplifiers
PCD's Electronic Division manufactures a full
line of Servo Amplifiers—probably the most complete available under
one roof—ranging from 2 to 100 watts of output power.
It
would be impossible to list the complete line of designs in our
files, which are available to apply to your servo loop problems.
However, by use of the available file of designs and years of
experience, PCD can custom design units to meet your exacting
requirements quickly and at a low cost. If product obsolescence is
forcing you to redesign or buy new systems, PCD is the company to
call. We can meet or exceed your servo amplifier requirements and
keep your systems running through the new century.
Outstanding Advantages
- High-Density Packaging
PCD's 0.3-cubic-inch, 6-watt
Servo Amplifier with gains of up to 5,000 is an outstanding
example of PCD capability in high-density packaging. The unique
design and packaging concept of our model S432 108 lends itself to
applications where miniaturization and minimum weight are critical
requirements.
- High Power
For high power in minimum volume,
PCD’s 40-watt amplifier S475101 heads the list. High gains and
input impedances offer the design engineer a wide range of
latitude in designing his servo loop system.
- Integral Power Supply
Models S4222, S5323,
S4722, and S5722 are suitable for applications, where DC power is
not available. These units are powered from a 400 Hz 26VRMS line
available in most servo systems. The internal generation of DC
power is accomplished with minimal increased size or weight. At
the same time, the need for external tuning and phase shift
capacitors is eliminated. These units also feature load current,
limiting and withstanding a sustained short circuit on the
output.
- High Quality at Low Cost
PCD's "product engineered"
concepts allow for high quality and low cost in all units. In
addition, high-volume production techniques have resulted in
further cost reduction.
- Standards and Qualification
Design criteria of all
units described herein, meet the requirements of most military
specifications. Standard design specifications provide for 10,000
hours of operating life with MTBF calculations on all units in
accordance with procedures outlined in MIL Handbook
217.
- Additional Analog Products
Besides the Servo
Amplifiers listed in this bulletin, PCD offers a full line of
electronic components including:
- Comparator Amplifiers
- Resolver Buffer Amplifiers
- Modulators
- Switching Circuits
- Demodulators
- Power Supplies
- 60 Hz Servo Amplifiers
- Preamplifiers
- DC Torque Amplifiers
- Quadrature Rejection Amplifiers
- Isolation Amplifiers
- Operational Amplifiers
Environmental
Specifications
All units are designed to meet applicable
portions of military specifications. All new designs are laboratory
tested to assure conformance to subject specifications.
